چکیده
Studying about genetic diversity permits the classification of germplasm into heterotic groups, which is particularly important in development varities and for hybrid breeding. The study was conducted to determine magnitude among 184 advanced breeding lines four checks viz., ICMV-221 (NC), ICTP-8203 VPMV-9 (LC) Dhanashakti were assessed using Augmented Block Design during kharif 2021-22 at two locations Regional Agricultural Research Station, Vijayapur Mudhol. Genetic indicated that various characters studied, iron content contributed most total divergence. Based on D2 values, grouped nine clusters. Among clusters, cluster I largest, with 78 lines, followed by Ⅳ (36) II (31). Fe & Zn 115-2-1 (cluster VII) WSBLT 59-2 V) had greatest distance, measured 1091.086, HTRLT 2-2 placed second 1051.169 51-2 third 1043.287 distance. highly divergent pairs identified present can be crossed creating variability isolating better ‘R’ as well ‘B’ lines. Key words: Diversity, Augumented design, content, grain yield, distance clusters

Correlation Studies for Grain Yield Components and Nutritional Quality Traits in Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) Germplasm
Before selecting genotypes for nutritional quality characters (protein, oil and micronutrients content) and anti-nutritional factor (phytic acid), it is important to know how much selection is likely to affect yield. Using a diverse range of genotypes, relationships between quality traits with yield and yield attributes in pearl millet were investigated. The number of productive tillers, panicl...
متن کاملGrain iron and zinc density in pearl millet: combining ability, heterosis and association with grain yield and grain size
Genetics of micronutrients and their relationships with grain yield and other traits have a direct bearing on devising effective strategies for breeding biofortified crop cultivars. A line × tester study of 196 hybrids and their 28 parental lines of pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R.Br.) showed large genetic variability for Fe and Zn densities with predominantly additive gene action and n...

20 hulless barley lines were assessed by grain yield and other agronomic traits in 2006 and 2007 in the research station of the university of tabriz, iran. the experiments in each year were carried out as randomized complete block design with four replications. the genotypes were significantly different for most of the studied traits. this indicated the existence of large genetic variation in t...

An experiment was conducted at Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), Gazipur during T.Aman season of 2007 with a view to evaluating seven maintainer and 30 restorer lines for yield and yield contributing characters for selecting promising maintainer and restorer lines for developing rice hybrids in our local environment. Significant variations were noticed among the parental lines for all ...
